At the heart of this machine is its dual boiler heating system. The boiler, for the espresso shot, is PID temperature controlled, while a separate steam boiler offers instant and powerful steam on demand. So you can extract your shot at the right temperature, delivering optimal flavor, while simultaneously steaming your milk to cafe quality.
Dual stainless steel boilers and heated group head controlled by digital temperature control (PID) brings water to precisely the right temperature (+/- 2⁰F)to extract maximum flavor potential, shot after shot.
Achieve a consistent and balanced espresso using the right amount of ground coffee. The 58mm porta-filter with 19-22 grams is the key for full flavor and third wave specialty coffee.
Steam wand, powered by a dedicated boiler, delivers micro-foam texture of commercial machines that enhances flavor and is essential for creating latte art.
Allows easy programming and has a shot clock for timing the extraction.
Choose between one shot, two shots or manual control over how much espresso ends up in your cup for the perfect dose every time.
Love it. Beautiful color & finish. Heats up quick. Consistent! Love the wheel to move the unit around. The front fill water tank is very convenient. Steam wand is very powerful. It was this or the Decent. Being my 1st machine this was a great choice! It is quite large so keep that in mind.
Makes really good espresso and milk drinks. The dual boiler, 58mm filter and pid are great features in this price range.
We have had our Dual Boiler for 3 1/2 years. It is, I think, our 4th espresso machine over the past 25 years. Not having to wait for one boiler to heat up or cool down depending on whether you're making espresso or foaming milk--and actually being able to both at the same time--is a game changer. Lattes look better and taste better, and we can make them for a small crowd pretty quickly. The fact that this machine is so well designed for organization is a big plus, too. I never have trouble finding anything. We're going to just keep maintaining it, and if it ever dies, we're going to run right out and buy a new one.
Best affordable machine on the market. I highly recommend this machine paired with the Breville Dose grinder pro. I'm a coffee professional, a manager at a third wave shop and therefore I have the coffee theory training to my advantage, BUT this machine can extract delicious espresso just as good as I can make from the shop. It also has industry size portafilter and basket which is great. Finally, the steam wand is sweeet-- a big step up from Breville's smaller machines: my latte art is great using this machine (it has a whole heating element dedicated to the steam wand so it gives good preasure). Lastly-- take care of the machine-- use good water and maintain.
I absolutely love this machine. My mommy comes over every Sunday just to get a mocha.
Most amazing machine
I bought this in November 2016 along with a Breville Grinder. My favorite coffee to use is from Cafe Ladro (seriously good) - my Brevillle machine makes the perfect latte every morning. I do think having your fresh grinder each morning is very important. I have been a Breville espresso machine owner since 2006, this is my second machine (I gave my first one to my daughter) and it still works). Having the steam wand work at same time (double broiler) is fantastic, having the machine warm up every morning at 6:00 am so it is ready for me at 6:10 is great. I do find descaling it to be a nuisance but it is the price you pay to have a perfect latte every morning. When we travel my lattes are not near as good as what I make at home.
